This is the fifthteenth instalment of the ‘DAGENHAM AND ME’ series in which we explore fans’ and former players’ relationship with the club. This will be done over the Christmas period with interesting stories being told daily and debates will no doubt spark over Dagenham’s Ultimate XI!  Behind door number 15 is supporter, DAN, enjoy :)

FULL NAME: Daniel Piggott
My favourite players currently are Manny and Kenny Clark, both give their all, without Manny this time last year it might of been a bad season for daggers! It was great to see Kenny back and he has matured nicely as a footballer! They are fantastic assets to the side!

I moved away from the area about 2 years ago so don't get to games as much anymore but when I get the chance I do get down to Victoria Road! Me and my mate David love getting to away fixtures around London and have great days out!

When at Victoria Road I used to stand by the drum (in the good old days). Now I would go into the new stand! Nice to have a high up view of the pitch and having a beer at half time - ha ha! I remember the first time in that stand coming from behind against Accrington Stanley - a 90th minute winner by Scotty Doe!

My first game was a very long time ago now, I can’t actually remember who it was against but I know we lost 1-0. It’s where the love started, being so close to the pitch and close to the players.

I have 3 favourite Dagenham games, 1st one was the FA Cup game up at Everton, was amazing experience with my 2 mates David and Sam. We left Euston for Liverpool at 8 and had a great sing song in Liverpool and throughout the game and on the train back.

The second being 2 games at Southend a few years ago in the Burnett era, one being a cup game and Daggers bossing it 5-2 and then a few weeks later again we won 1-0 - always brilliant to beat Dale Farm.

The third game being of course the play off final at Wembley! What a day! Was an amazing day and can remember it like it was yesterday! Not being able to hear the final whistle but just seeing Tony Robert's run the length of the pitch!

Best Daggers Christmas game had to be last year against Orient! Beating your closest rivals at any time of year is great but to beat them on Boxing Day - it’s the cherry on top!!

Favourite Chritsmas song is Fairytale of New York by the Pogues.

Without Dagenham and Redbridge I probably wouldn't love football as much as I do today! Going to places like Victoria road really makes you appreciate the game! Local clubs need the support of the local community to keep them going! No matter what dagenham always gets that support ever since I've been going!

Best manager I've seen at Dagenham is without doubt John Still a man that loves the club and has this amazing talent of finding very low league players and them becoming superstars!!! A manager I feel like that was under rated at times was Wayne Burnett he had a bad time at the end but he had a couple of very good years!

Favourite players of all time, Theres loads!!! Mark Arber, Tony Robert's, peter gain, paul benson, ben Stevens I could go on but the best midfielder I ever saw over at dagenham and we didnt see enough of him cause of injury sadly was Stuart Thurgood he was a brilliant midfielder, made the game look so easy!

Best away day had to be the 5-2 win at southend the atmosphere and support that night was amazing it was buzzing!!!!!
