New Opponents: Chorley

Some stats that look at the teams’ form going into this one.

So as you can see The Daggers are obviously in finer form, as Chorley’s attempted rebuild was halted by a defeat to Barrow last time out. The Lancashire side still remain rock bottom of the league but there are only two points separating them from 21st placed Wrexham.

When Chorley get it right they are unstoppable but the trouble is they don’t get it right often with 1 win in their first thirteen matches. Draws have effected them dearly with six so far this season - showing inability to see their games out.

Goalscoring averages less than one a game for the visitors but The Daggers are going good on 18 - Taylor’s side are improving. The same goes for clean sheets at Dagenham as they were hard to come by but now they are almost expected.

Vermiglio’s men don’t have a bad record when it comes to clean sheets - better than Dagenham in fact. Yet for his side the results just aren’t there to show for it with just one win in five!

Score Prediction

I reckon, or am at least hoping, that the floodgates will open today and Grant will get his second and third for the club. I am also hopeful that Joan Luque can find his form from the beginning of the season as back then - he was unstoppable.

In terms of the defensive performance I don’t believe a third consecutive clean sheet is on the cards simply because I think Taylor’s men may take their foot off the gas. In doing so, a consolation goal may be conceded but I hope I am wrong on that note.

I am hoping for an increased crowd today as The Daggers look to make it ten unbeaten - hopefully in style! Then we would have a 💯 percent record against the Lancashire side!
