Braintree Preview

This is a match between two sides, 50 miles and 1 point apart, they have one aim 3 points. Both sides are without a win in eight so today neither side will be happy with a draw. They will both leave everything out there on the pitch - on the great Victoria Road turf. Under the floodlights there will be a fierce battle with these being the two bottom side,  the team who comes away with nothing will be at the foot of the table further adrift from safety.

As it Stands:
                       P  W  D  L  GD
23 Braintree   8   0   3   5   -7
24 Daggers    8    0  2   6   -6

Dagenham are the side with the better goal difference scoring one more goal than The Iron however both teams have conceded 13 goals in eight games. So on paper it looks to be a high scoring match but we can't make assumptions in English football - for all we know it could be 0-0! Braintree are the second lowest scorers in the division so a narrow win or LOSS is a possibility.

The Daggers will be hoping to beat newly promoted Braintree who also picked up a point last time out. After winless runs both outfits will be looking to get on an unbeaten run picking up three points, not just one, along the way. Braintree have picked up two of their three points on the road this season so this being an away fixture shouldn't dishearten them. Dagenham have picked up their two points at Victoria Road with a home crowd behind them so this is going to be a close contest.

Braintree's manager Quinton said ahead of tonight's crunch match that his players should be buzzing. Saying they should have renewed confidence after their encouraging display at Boreham Wood on Saturday he told the Braintree & Witham times. He also stated if his side get a win under their belt they could end up surprising a lot of teams
