Back to back wins?

It's 13th V 22nd in the National League as The Shots visit Victoria Road, it looks like it should be a comfortable victory now for Dagenham, but that wasn't the case in the reverse fixture as The Daggers were defeated 2-1 in just the fourth game of the season. However times have changed and The Daggers no longer sit three points behind The Shots, the gap is 11 points between them and Aldershot are in real danger of the drop.

Today's hosts have come a long way since then with new investors and great signings which saw them shoot up the table whereas Aldershot's season has never really got going with several injuries frustrating Gary Waddock. Here is what he had to say when asked about their current position, Gary Waddock said to the club TV that '' We are looking for that break, that change of luck’’ believing he has good enough players to get them out of this relegation scrap. A reminder that The Daggers can't be too complacent as with every side in English football anyone can beat any one on their day - and that is why we love it.

A man that knows his opponents better than anyone else is Luke Howell who returns to Victoria Road after making over 130 appearances for Dagenham including multiple league two games. He joined The Shots last year amid the financial trouble and will no doubt get a very warm reception from the home crowd. His current side are struggling for goals scoring just 24 in 28 games unlike their opponents who have scored 37 in 30 games. Three of those came against Maidstone last time out as The Daggers defeated The Stones 3-0 but again the scoreline wasn't as good for Aldershot who came up short against Chesterfield who are also fighting to avoid the drop.

Dagenham can’t be complacent as The Shots can beat any team on their day - let's hope that day isn't today! I don't think it will be and believe The Daggers will ease to victory with goals from ; Wilkinson (2), McQueen (1) and Goodliffe (1) securing a 4-1 win.
